This is a crossbike conversion from a Trek 614, with one before and three after conversion photos.

The closeup photo of the seat cluster shows the solution for routing the rear brake cable for the cantilever brakes. The bike is an early 80's 62 cm Trek with 531 main tubes.

The frame was modified by Bernie Mikkelsen (3dubya.mikkelsenframes.com) with cantilever studs and rear brake cable stop, a second set of water bottle bosses, downtube shifter bosses, pump peg, and rear triangle adjustment for 135 mm OLN with chain stay crimping for wider tires. Brakes are Alivo with gray Kool Stop pads, Mustang rims and 105 hubs, Sugino Maxy Tour 110 BCD double crank (48-34 rings), XC Pro long cage RD and Suntour Blue Line FD, Rivendell silver bar end pods with Cyclone shifters, Nitto/Specialized BB1 dirt drops with Nitto 12 cm Dynamic stem, Tektro interrupter levers, and short throw rear suspension provided by Brooks B-67. Max rear tire size is 700-32 for the Ritchey Crossbite tires. Rear gearing is provided by a Sunshine 8-spd cluster, 11-32. Paint by Rustoleum, Sunset Red. Decals to follow.
