1983 TREK 500 Classic Road Bicycle... Made in USA!

*Reynolds 501 Chrome-Moly-Manganese Double Butted Steel Main Tubes* *Manganese Alloy Steel Fork and Stays* The TREK 500 was designed as an all-around bicycle that's great for training on the road, commuting to work and excellent for touring. It has relaxed upper body positioing and is responsive and quick handling for a broad range of riding conditions. It also has exactly the same Reynolds 501 frame as the highly regarded TREK 520. In fact, the only significant difference between them is that the TREK 500 has a double chainwheel crankset and the TREK 520 has a triple. All of the other components are virtually identicle. You just do not see too many of these in this condition. And, what a pleasure it is to ride! This TREK 500 is in superb condition with very little wear and has been meticulously cleaned, lubed and adjusted. The original, electrostatically applied, metallic Gunmetal Blue, Imron paint is still excellent and without touchups. The Pewter Panel and decals are also still in excellent condition. The rubber brake hoods have been replaced with originals. Everything else is stock, just like it came from the factory.
