Here are some pics of my Nishiki Tri-A taken on a gorgeous October afternoon in Old Salem, North Carolina.

I purchased this bike in March 1985 from Daniel Boone Cycles in Houston, Texas. It features Tange #1 double-butted tubing, internal routing of the brake and derailleur cables, and Shimano 600EX component group (new in 1985). Over the years I've replaced the freewheel, chain rings, some bearings, but fortunately NOS parts are usually easy to find. I swapped out the 600EX non-aero brake levers for Shimano 105 aero levers and replaced the original Selle Italia Turbo saddle with a bright yellow Selle Italia Flite Gel Flow saddle. I recently swapped out a Sakae stem for a much taller Nitto Technomic because I'm not as flexible as I was in 1985. I have always ridden this bike for fitness/recreation and it has never let me down.

Thanks for your website - I really enjoy seeing the beautiful classic bikes others are riding.
