Hi Jim,

I built up this Rambouillet using components removed from my Soma Smoothie ES which used to be sort of a poor man's Rivendell. This bike feels MUCH more comfortable, even though both frames are the same size. I usually ride the trails in the East Bay, San Francisco area.

Mavic Open Pro rims with Utrega hubs Ruffy Tuffy 700x27mm tires

SRAM chain, hollow pin

Shimano 105 front derailleur
Sun Tour bar-end friction shifters
