Hi Jim,

Here's what I think will be a classic some day. It's a Soma Smoothie ES that has been mislabeled as a Soma Smoothie!

For the price, this frame is truly amazing. It is an awesome ride. I got mine with a carbon fork designed for 57mm reach brakes.

I went old school and used some universal centerpulls along with a Sugino triple crank (50x36x26). I use a Campy Centaur drive train, 9 speed, Easton EA70 seatpost to offset the short rails on the Brooks B17.

Up front I used a Ritchey stem and bars, Cane Creek headset, and dress it up with some Brooks leather bar wrap. Wheels are Campy rear hub, Dura Ace front, laced to Mavic CXP 33's.

To protect the Drive side chain stay I used some brown cloth bar wrap and secured each end with some twine.

I use this bike for my winter rides, using 700x25 Hutchinson Top Speed's.

In the summer I add a rear rack and put on some Panaracer Paselas (700x35) for a nice comfy ride.

Thanks,

Rich
