Pictured below is my 1972 Mercian purchased at Hampshire Bicycle Exchange in Amherst, MA. Model is "King of Mercia" and the Reynolds 531 frame measures somewhere around 64 cm. Most pieces seem original. Drive train is Sun Tour with a Stronglight crank. Also present are Dia Compe brakes, Weinmann rims on Phil Wood hubs, and an aging Brooks Professional. Under my care the bike has received a Nitto R14 rack and Berthoud fenders. In service of the latter, I tapped a threaded hole in each of the rear fork's bridges.

This solid tourer carries me on errands about town, country rides, and the occasional commute.
