             This
54cm Riv Rambouillet is probably one of the last of the "orange"
breed. It was purchased from Peter White back in 2004 so I imagine
that it was built sometime in the earlier part of the decade.
            It
is equipped with the following main components:
              - Shimano DA hubs fr&rr, the latter being a 9-speed
              - Velocity Aerohead rims w/ Wheelsmith spokes, the rear being an
              OC
              - Shimano Ultegra 12-23 9-speed cassette & Sachs 9-spd. chain
              - 32mm Panaracer Pasela tires
              - TA 48/36 Zephyr Light crankset and Syrius rings
              - Axis Light BB - run-of-the-mill MoSH BMX pedals
              - Shimano DA deraillers, fr&rr
              - Shimano DA DT shifters (indexed on rear)
              - Shimano R600 sp brakes & aero levers
              - Nitto Tech Deluxe 11cm stem
              - Nitto 44cm Noodle bar w/ Cinelli org/wht "splash" tape & Velox
              plugs
              - Salsa Shaft seat post
              - Brooks B-17 Champion Spl. saddle
            And
              the following additional accessories:
              - SKS P45 fenders
              - Nigel Smythe mud flap
              - Mark's mini-rack on rear
              - Velo-Orange brass bell
              - Cateye Mity-8 micro
              - Nitto "R" bottle cage
            Special
              features and mods:
As noted in several of the pics, I didn't care for the look of micro
sensor wire snaking down the front fork and I've had too many problems
with wireless units, so I cut the cable, fished it through the brazing
vent holes, and soldered 'em back together for a cleaner look. The
bolt holes on the P45 rear fender mounts it too high on the chain
stay bridges, allowing water to get through. So I cut a rectangular
piece of thin rubber to extend it down below the BB. Finally, I
like the way that Cinelli org/wht "splash" tape looks with the two
colors on the Rambouillet, but it's showing signs of wear and the
last of it that I know of went up in smoke in the original Branford
Bike fire a few years ago. Guess I'll have to look for something
              else eventually.
            Thanks,

            George
