This bike was put together by Hiroshi Imura of Jitensha Studio in Berkeley CA after I ooked at a lot of TOEI (and Singer, Routens, and Herse) bicycles in Japanese cycling publications and later in person at the TOEI shop in japan in 2004. I spent three years gathering the parts. The theme is "all NOS French parts" and I have since added a set of maxi-Car hub/Super Champion 650B rim wheels and a large Berthoud handlebar bag. The workmanship is superb, as is the ride. Thank for the wonderful website and for posting my bike.
