Jim,

Here is a 1982 Trek 614 that I picked up at a swap meet a year ago. The frame shows some age and I thought about having it repainted but the seattube decal was the only think really a miss so I decided to leave it as is, beausuage? Most of the original components, what there was left, were not salvageable except the handlebars, crank, and seatpost clamp bolt.

The build or I should say rebuild consists of:

Nitto stem
Velo Orange Grand Cru Seatpost
Velo Orange Grand Cru 1" headset
A Brooks Professional from 1977
AT crank with 50/39/24 rings
Campy Veloce 10sp brifters linked to a 9sp Shimano rear via a Shiftmate
Shimano 105 triple front and XT rear derailers
Wheels are 32 hole 9sp Dura Ace Hubs, Open Pro Rims
Tires are 700x25 Micheln Pro Race2 tires
Suntour Superbe long reach brakes
The pista resistance is the hammered Honjo fenders in 35mm width.

And yes, those are champaign corks for bar ends.

Great Website!

Mike
