Hi Jim -

Attached is my new Rivendell custom. It was on the Rivendell "Frame Specials" page -- it was an abandoned frame and the size (58.5 st 58 tt 72/72 45.5 cs 8cm drop) was close enough to my own. I'll use it mostly for easy riding on road, dirt and gravel with an occasional cross race.

Built with some NOS stuff from my personal stash: Ibis Ti 10cm stem, XTR M900 derailleurs, XT Cantis (from about 1994) w/Kool Stop pads, Phil BB.

New stuff included Mavic Open Pros with Ultegra hubs and Dura Ace skewers. Avocet 700x32 tyres (a true 32). Sram 12-26 8 speed. Silver shifters. Nitto 83 seat post and Noodle Bar (46cm). Grey cloth tape with 11 coats of clear shellac, velox plugs. Sugino Alpina crank, 46/34 175mm. Selle San Marco Regal saddle with smooth leather and silver rivets and rails.

Man, what a nice riding bike.

Thanks for the great site

- Bob
