I bought this bike in 2006 to supplement my 1990 Gary Fisher Sphinx (a very early monster cross). I like to commute with fenders and taking the fenders off every time I wanted to go for a single track ride was getting tedious, so I decided a second bike was in order. I also got a second wheelset for the Indy Fab for faster road club rides.

The bike came with an 8 speed Shimano STI drive train. I much prefer Campy Ergo (or bar end shifters), so I upgraded to a 9 speed Shimano cassette and chain with 10 speed Campy Ergo shifters. I also upgraded to a Rapid Rise (low nomal) XTR derailer, and am curious to know if there are other Campy-shifted Rapid Rise drive trains out there. The shifting is excellent, btw. Note cable routing on the rear derailer. For more info on "Shimergo", go to http://www.ctc.org.uk/DesktopDefault.aspx?TabID=3946
