HHi, this is my first singlespeed build, hope it is worthy of a spot in your photo gallery. Sorry about the picture quality, I used my cell phone, I'm old school I still use 35mm!

The bike is a 1980 Schwinn voyageur 11.8 chrome frame built into a coffee house/happy hour commuter. I purchased the bike from the original owner off craigslist. He worked for a schwinn dealer in Indiana and had the bike custom built, then it sat in storage for 20+ years. I stripped it down and removed the old dull clear coat to reveal the brilliant chrome finish. I dished the rear wheel to get the chain line right (it's almost centered). I used a lot of the parts he had upgraded and added a few of my own. I cleaned and greased all the bearings and this is what I ended up with.

600 headset
UN-71 BB
Dura ace brakes and levers
Dura ace large flanged hubs laced with d/b spokes to araya 700c rims
Vredestein 700X32 tires
Sakae SX cranks with a SR 40t chainring
ACS claws 17t freewheel (gives me 63 gear inches) I have a few hills to the town center!!!
Sram PC-870 chain
Brooks professional saddle
Forte atb comp pedals with christophe clips and leather straps
Planet bike cascadia fenders
Sakae custom road champion bars with Fizik microtex tape
