This is my Trek 420 and itŐs my travel bike. This is the bike that I take with me when I have to teach away from home.

I saw the frame hanging on the wall of a bike shop (Cosmic Wheels) and saw that the frame was the right size for me (19Ó). I bought the frame in January 1993 for $120.00. I build it up with mix of Suntour and Shimano components and has gone everywhere with me.

In December 1996 I had the S&S couplings retrofitted to the frame and repainted to its current color.

These are the states I have ridden my bike in: Virginia, Washington, California, Hawaii, Vermont, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Texas and my home state of New Jersey. The S&S coupling works great and the bikes feels better since the retrofit.
