Serop's 2007 Soma Speedster

Assembled m y 52cm 2007 Soma Speedster at home, with eBay-purchased parts, and the assistance of the local bike shop for headset race fitting & fork head tube cutting.

Simplex 102 front derailleur
TA Cyclotourist crankset, 46-28 chainrings

Christophe steel toe clips

Vittoria Open Corsa Evo CX 700x25c tires
Nitto Noodle 44cm bar
Tressostar cloth tape
ControlTech 80mm stem
Crane brass bell
Mafac Racer (centerpull) brakes
Mafac Racer brake levers
CLB brake cable set, vintage
TA mini front rack
Ideale #80 saddle
Nitto Crystal Fellow seatpost
Cibie dynamo w/headlight
Jos glass reflector

Future updates include a set of Super Champion 700c Gentleman 81 rims & Campagnolo Record Large Flange 32H hubs.

Other accessories: Sigma Sport BC906 cyclometer, medium Acorn saddlebag (as a handlebag), Soma EuroTrip black fenders, and a Cateye detachable tail light for dusk riding.

The weight is 25 lbs (without waterbottle). I usually carry a small thermos filled with hot tea. The Soma Speedster is wonderful. It is the first bike that I can ride with no hands!
