Hey kids here is my friend Chad's VITUS 979 Mk. I

(51 cm) / 20.1 pounds
Mavic headset, bottom bracket, cranks and rear derailer
Suntour Cyclone front derailer
Camagnolio 36-hole hubs and Fir rims
Regina 6-speed freewheel
Vitus Panto seat post, and Sella Italia Turbo SLG seat
Continental 4 season folding tires 700x25
Dura-Ace shifters, Salsa Bel-Lap bars Cinelli 1A Stem (old logo) and tape
Dia Comp "500" sidepull brakes Shimano SLR levers
SR Japan peddles w/ A.L.E clips and straps.

Story: He bought it from the original builder who, in turn, had built it up for his boss. One day the boss called up the builder and said, "Come get it, or it's going to the dump." The dump! Can you imagine the brutality?!? So the builder went and got it and sold it for a song and a dance to Chad who gave it a "Sympathetic Restoration," and brought it back to life after years of being consigned to the garage or back porch. A happy story all around, and a great looking bike to boot.
