This is a 1980 Competition GS in original paint and decals, Reynolds 531 tubes and fork blades, pretty nifty as you can see. It started out as a Nuovo Record bike. It still has the original NR shifters, BB, seatpost, front derailleur and headset, but it has been otherwise modified in its current incarnation (kind of a 'geezer' bike now) for riding in the Rocky Mountains:

Cinelli bar/stem Brooks Professional saddle, Carradice bag
Mafac Racer centerpulls, factory-drilled levers
Nuovo Record Long Cage derailleur
Nuovo Record hubs on Weinmann convex rims, IRC 28-13 freewheel Campagnolo Chorus crank with Specialites TA triple rings (48/39/28)
Joannou randonnee steel fenders
