This is my first submission to Cyclofiend. Thanks for looking!

My wife found a lovely Miyata Ninety Mixte on Craigslist, in excellent original condition. We were eager to build a commuter that could be used to try out Sturmey Archer's X-FDD Drum Brake Dynohub and X-RD8 internal geared 8 speed/drum brake, a combination that we thought would be a good choice for Portland's rainy winters. This bike was a perfect candidate, as it was originally outfitted with 27" steel wheels & caliper brakes. As it turns out, after our tinkering the only original parts that remain are the stock steel handlebars bars and the frame itself.

The build consists of:
700c Mavic A119 rims
Sturmey Archer X-FDD (front)
Sturmey Archer X-RD8 (rear)
Panaracer Pasela Tourgaurd 32c tires
MKS Touring pedals
TA single crankset, 1/8" 44 tooth ring
Brooks B66
Wald #137 basket
Nitto Technomic Stem
Seculite Plus rear light
Lumotec N Plus headlight
VO Hammered fenders
