After much experimentation I've arrived at the final configuration for the Trek (at least for now). You could say I "Fixed" it. I swapped out the freewheels for 16/17 fixed on the rear and a 42 up front. I've also switched the one bolt Campy seatpost for a 2 bolt NR model, (the seat nose kept sliding up). And the bars were changed from the 45cm Randonneur to 42 regular drops with Shimano 600 non-aero levers and gum colored hoods. They go pretty well with the Banana bag and B17.
