Hey Jim,

Here are the Schwinn single speed pictures. These were shot in front of a replica of the Santa Maria here in Columbus. Description below.

Thanks!

This bike left the Schwinn Chicago factory as a sienna brown 1973 Suburban 5 speed. For the single speed conversion, the frame was prepped by filing off all braze-ons for a clean look. StreetWerks of Columbus Oh. provided a new flat black powder coat finish of the frame, fork, stem, seatpost and integrated kickstand. The moustache handlebars are Nashbar with Onza grips. A single vintage Shimano racing brake lever is coupled with a black Tektro OEM front caliper. The 700c wheels with silver Sun rims were hand build by Baer Wheels of Columbus using a Campy front hub and a Shimano CB rear hub plus black 14 gauge spokes. Tires are Panaracer Ruffy-Tuffy with Speedblend sidewalls from Rivendell. Pedals are the original rat traps on the factory Schwinn 1 piece crank. The Raleigh leather saddle and license plate are 70âs era. Flashing red lips rear light from a Spencer Gifts 50th birthday card.
