This Astra Tour de France is an early to mid 70's bicycle made by Motobecane and sold in the US. My kids pulled it from a neighbors garbage in a pretty sorry shape. Initially removing the unwanted parts, a little clean up and adding an old BMX seat, stem, freewheel cog and some Mt bike bars got the bike working great. I then swapped out the Steel Wheels with lighter Alloy Wheels, newer seat, grips, newer stem with extension and paint. During the disassembly I found a mouse had a nest in the bottom bracket. Once the old grease and seeds was cleaned out new bearings and it cranks like new.
