HereÕs my PUCH Austro Daimler ÒAlpinaÓ weekend cruiser geared for the mostly flat Silicon Valley. This was originally a 10 speed with drop bars. I fell in love with the frame and set about converting it into a single-speed, using the frame, original Dia-Comp side pull brakes, and the original Zefal frame pump. It now sports a new Tange headset, Sugino 48t crankset with matching bottom bracket, Surly 18t cassette cog, Surly spacer kit, and Continental Gatorskin 700 x 25c tires mounted on a Shimano WH-R500 wheelset. Aluminum handlebars are generic mounted on a ÒCustomÓ stem with Shimano mtb levers. I love the look with the shellacÕd cork grips, VO leather chainstay protector, VO Baguette bag and Crane brass bell.

Love this site! Thanks for the inspiration.

Thanks,
